We Nah Play - EP

J.Chambers and Natural High Music present We Nah Play, a seven‑track collaborative EP that expands on the foundation of sound system frequency, Dub Poetry culture and overstanding, infused with a Hip Hop energy. Across this expansive soundscape, the lyrical exploration moves through livity, reparation and the unification of culture and allyship.

The work began with a single studio session at Cube Studios, which produced the first single, Dub Poetry, released in June 2025. Premiered on Reggaeville, the track saw its physical limited release of 100 vinyls sell out in a weekend and debuted in the German Reggae Charts. The strong global response provided the impetus to collaborate further, and that journey culminated in this EP. Its title, We Nah Play, was taken from a blogger who, when promoting the single Liberation, preemptively offered the name that now defines the project.

We Nah Play is a testament to exploring both Jamaican and Jamaican‑British identity, culture and soundscapes. It is a pivotal and important work that provides urgent conversation and sonic documentation of the times and movements we are living through a soundtrack for the here and now.
